Yup, but don't blame the politicians. The people voted for it. Just like they voted to outlaw use of hounds for cat hunting. Now you hear about cats around schools all the time.

Yah, I would. Sorry types need to spend a short 2 yrs in the far east looking at sand piles. All of a sudden moles would fall of the table for interest. Get a life.

The "Peoples Republic of Washington", I couldn't buy Curtail in Washington to spray hawkweed. Against Washington State Law. I had to get it locally at the farm store.

Its believable the fella doing the mole trapping can get into geese chasing over at the local golf course as an alternative business. A few pretty labs willing to chase geese during business hours is all it takes.

Side note. Around here the easiest way to catch a mole is leave a bowl of dog food and a bowl of water out in the open. We get a mole a month this way guess they can't swim. Not sure if the dog food is necessary either. Helps if you have a ramp leading into the bowl.
The best part you'll know you have one when the dogs group around the bowl with tails wagging. I wish I could talk dog talk...

Here in West TX we have prairie dogs something terrible. They have literally ruined good grazing land around here. It is unlawful to trap or exterminate them in any way. I will never understand the environmentalist that would rather see farmers and ranchers loose good land to a rodent than let them exterminate them.. Something is just not right with that kind of thinkin’.

Well they voted that Idiot woman in as governor now what do you expect. She has more crazy ideas than any person i have heard of.
Walt (happy down here in Oregon) Well so far.

They want to put meters on our private wells to charge us for our own water. You figure that one out. Next we get taxed on how much gas we pass I guess.

Well, there's no proof she was ever elected. I think they should report the vote from the largest counties first, then proceeding to the smallest county. Cut down on the type of voter fraud we saw in King County last election by taking the incentive out of it.

What is a mole? Is it like gopher, that lives in the ground and makes a dirt mound abave his hole. What is the problem with trapping the moles? When Dad was farming he would give me 25 cents for every gopher I would trap in his fields. That was good money for me back in the 50's. Stan

Moles make shallow tunnels in their quest to eat grubs (larva) in your lawn. It is said that if a man, pound-for-pound, could dig as fast as a mole, he could dig a tunnel 50 miles long in one night. Use of milky spore is supposed to kill the grubs- no grubs, no moles. Skunks search for the grubs also.

I'm pretty sure moles are exempt from that marvelous "no trapping" initiative that was passed- more likely, its related to trapping for profit, not to the fact that it was moles. You can still trap your own moles ("sport trapping"?)

Although not enforced the initiative still bans mole trapping.
