Got done running WD today, parked it and went away, came back and it is leaking gas from the carburator. Turned shutoff off, then that started dripping gas. What is the problem with it? Im stumped as to what is wrong.

Possibly blocked vent in tank cap. Gas warming up and pressurising the system?

It may have some trash under the float needle. Crank it and then shut off the gas while it is running and let it go dead. Turn the gas back on, with the float down the flood of new gas will usually wash out the material under the needle.

Sounds to me like the float in the carb is stuck.

Would the float make it leak out of the shutoff also?

No the float would not make it leak at the shutoff. That is more than likly another problem, you may need a new shutoff.
