Never have problems with telemarketers on my cell, just people calling looking for used car parts. Never knew what was going on til recently a guy called me and as I was telling him he had the wrong number he said "Oh, I"m sorry, the I dialed the wrong area code, it"s supposed to be a 1-800 number...."

Bogus or not, I have my home phone and our cell phones on the do not call list, and I still get telemarketer calls on my home "and cell phones".

I'm on the "list" with the home phones, and STILL get annoying calls.

I have NOT listed the cell phones, and NO telemarketing calls, YET.

BUT, you can register your cell phone if you so desire on the NCL. So far the telemarketers are not allow to call cell phones, but what stops the laws from being change down the road..:>(

We are at the mercy of the FCC, who can change the rules at any given time. I have both mine registered just because..:>)

I have been on the no-call-list now since it started here in Oregon then I went to the national list and it really has helped alot. I get a few calls now and then but i just say that I am on the no-call-list and Click they hang right up.
Thank for reminding me I did not have the wide's new cell phone on it.
Walt

It doesn"t really stop them - I have been getting crap calls on cell phones for a couple of months and all my phones including cells are on DNC list. Latest is automated call from American Financial something claiming I owe a debt - I need to call them ASAP - total BS.

Something to remember is the 'don't call' rules still allow anyone with which you have a business association to call. Fone and cable companies still keep mine busy.
