Anybody have any experience or opinion with this ins. co.? My country company ins. of almost forty years gave me a ball park figure + or - a few bucks on full coverage for my sixteen year old daughter, $1230 a year. It sounded high but probably right for a sixteen year old so I told her she could have it and told the insurance co. to make that ball park figure in to the real thing. Now it's about $2020/yr. with no explanation that I can under stand. So I Went shopping, apples to apples comparison, one of the most popular independant agents in town is about $750 less on the four cars, but a couple hundred more for my house. ($400) on the new car less. The Farmer's ins. is the stuff that sounds too good to be true, over $900 less on the four cars with more coverage. The daughter's new car is $680/yr, the home owner's stayed about the same with more coverage except it's about $250 higher because we got robbed last summer, then, knock 10% off if paid per month with automatic withdrawl from bank acc. My ninteen year old son's ins would drop about $300 in both cases, country co.said it would'nt untill he was twenty one. I've had the last tickit in this house in 1975 and my daughter gets the good student discount. If this Farmer's ins. is on the level then I'd say Country Co. has been screwing me. Any one have any experience with that company, Jim

the prob. with ins. is the agents get an increased comm on new listings-- they will tell you that's not true but don't believe check for your self-- that's why they keep raising the rates then they change you to a new co. to do you a favor- and it starts all over again-- they even did it to our local volunteer fire co. that takes a lot of b---s and they wonder why they get a bad rep/ you ndeed to shop around every 3 years- it's right in our by-laws now---

Have you tried with USAA? I have four vehicles with three drivers (my youngest step daughter) and it's cheaper than other companies that I have priced with. They are also good when there is a claim. I also have content insurance with them. You may want to give them a call, They seem to meet or match just about any and all that I have heard about. By all means Stay Away From GEICO!!! They are the best insurance company to have as long as you or no one else files a claim.

We have been fighting with FIG for over and a half years on our house fire. The agents ARE GREAT!,but the adjusters just plain suck.Recently I have found out that FIG has the lowest approval rAting in the ins industry for customer satisfaction. Our house caught fire and the adj had the balls to say that there was NO smoke damage and then wondered how the smoke smeel got in our cloths. That is just acouple of examples.I have a banner in front of my house about FIG and it aint complimentery

I have had Farmers Insurance on my house and car since 1989. We are very pleased with them. I have my contractors insurance with American Family, mainly because I did not have enough experience for Farmers to even offer my that type of commercial insurance at the time. I got a quote from American Family for everything (seemed to make sense having one agent for eveything). They were so high it was ridiculous! Greg

I had Farmers ins. about 40 years ago it wasn't bad then so I went looking for Farmers to insure my 1948 Packard back in 1968. Saw the sign on a building and went in got a good deal better than had expected. When I got home I found that I had went into a State Farm Ins. best mistake I ever made. I have been with them now 39 years. The have the best price and best service and if you have trouble with your agent you can change to another. If you have trouble getting your car fixed just call the main office and WOW will they jump at the shop where you had it fixed.
