Huh you guys are lucky. i'm not even done working up all my crop ground. just have one more field to plow, 3 to disk and pick rocks and disk again(including the field i still gotta plow) then put 2 fields of corn in and one of beans. then to chop alfalfa that should have been chopped last week.
oh well i have been behind but i can have the neighbor plant my corn by the end of the week and i can get the beans in next weekend.
my 2 cents
DF

Just amazes me every year how quick that corn starts to grow.

Need to get the Nitrogen on soon.

When did you get that corn in? Looks like it is ahead of my sweetcorn that was planted 4/23.

Sweet corn is always slower growing than field corn.

There is sweet corn on the end of this field and it is half as tall. Planted the same day.

Planted May 3.

Its Golden Harvest 8906 planted in very cold conditions on April 10th.A 2.7" rain on April 13th played heck with the stand which averages around 80%.Its really took off in the last week and is knee high now.

Lots of corn was replanted in this area.

The freeze on April 6th thru the 8th did alot of damage to the wheat in my area.I'm expecting half a crop on this at the best. The low spots are all gone.

Some wheat has been destroyed.
