Just watched an episode of MSNBC where they were doing a story on the internet scams everyone sees so often. They really took those guys for a ride, convincing them to finally meet in person, and on hidden camera. After stringing the cons along waiting on the money they needed to "release the funds", mainly just as a joke and a little retrubution for those that had been scammed from what I gathered, they finally told the guys that they were actually the ones being scammed. It was funny, the guy doing the show was using names like Peter Dimonie ("De money"), and the best one I thought, "Rich Greenbacks". You"d think a con would catch onto a play on words like that, especially when everything was money related, but they didn"t. I don"t know how many different cons they actually worked but they showed 4, that I saw,on the show. Just goes to show how gullible the cons can be when they think their dealing with a idiot and are expecting a big payday themselves. it was a hoot watching them set there and sweat when they were told they were the ones being scammed..... Unfortunately since it was TV and not law enforcment they had to let the guys go but it was still nice to see them get at least a little payback for their cons.

Remember awhile back I posted about one sent my way, well I conjured up a false company name; "ruthless turdeater corporation", then responded to the idiots trying to scam me, and had them baited, for awhile, problem is, to keep it going, it is really time consuming so I let it go. With some imagination, it certainly worked, yet the language barrier helps because they have no idea when they are being humiliated. Seems like the entire country of Nigeria is trying to scam the U.S. 419eater is where they posted the one about getting the scammer to pay them 20 dollars, in the end, they show a photo of it being burned, and the baiter revealing the truth that the scammer was fooled, was really funny, not sure if he burned the actual 20 dollar bill, may have made a copy of it. There is also a stern warning about the people who perpetrate these scams, from Africa, especially Nigeria, being extremely violent criminals, there have been cases where people have gone over there and have been hacked up. They warn to be careful, never know where a relative may live, good to know, also good to know that if one ever crossed my threshold, they would regret doing so.

Sometimes, for entertainment, I like to read the "scambaiter" pages on the internet. Google it, some of the stories are long, but they are a riot. One that sticks out in my head is a guy from England who gets the scammers to pay him and works them against each other.

not surprisingly, these so called professional scammers are some of the most uneducated people on earth.

I've seen people accept the cashiers check only to ship a bag of magazines and a few nasty words on paper.

there is even a story around my area that someone had responded to a bad cashiers check by sending a box full of dog and cow schitt back to the 'buyer'.

Have you looked at "bustedupcowgirl.com", and "ebolamonkeyman.com"?

The folks at both those sites take scammers for a "ride", too.
