I have a 7711. Strong, heavy tractor. Some things to look out for: Original clutches wore out quickly. Replacements improved. To see if clutch is about worn out, pull pto clutch lever up, put pto in gear with lever on floor, have tractor in gear, let foot clutch out. If it jerks badly, clutch is bad. Another sign is gears clashing when up shifting when tractor is rolling. Transmission is not synchronized, but with good clutch there is little gear grinding.
When tractor is rolling do not engage differential lock as this can break rear axle.
I don't like the way the pto clutch lever is facing and in fact on recent models the pto lever is changed to the proper direction. Anyway, on mine I found that if I removed the cover around the pto and hand brake lever, I could depress the pto lever catch with my forefinger and avoid twisting my elderly wrist around 90 degrees.
The centrifugal engine oil filter is neat, just remove the assembly and wash when changing oil. No filter to buy.

Good luck.

It was made in Czechoslovakia. I don't know if the company in the Czech Republic or Slovakia now.

i have a zetor 7711 that my grandfather bought new in '86. is your's 4 wheel drive? ours is 2 wheel drive and it has too much power to the driveline that the final drives were replaced 3 times. if your just using it for haying or light work it should do fine

Avoid the 4WD Zetors like plague bearing rats...

The sealing of the in-house front axle (particularly the reduction unit in the hub) is notoriously weak, many of the secondhand ones that we see here in the UK have buggered axles due to loss of oil. The 4WD swivel pins (kingpins/whatever) are not very strong either and are prone to heavy wear. This applies to both the Zetor axle and the later Carraro/ZF ones as well.

It's a real shame the 4WD's are like that because the rest of the tractor is quite neat and well designed. I actually quite like the 2WD's (I used to have one with a loader that I was given for free:))

The 7711 is one of their better tractors.

Cheers, JV.
