Trying to find model number of my Dynahoe. On name plate is serial # 20164 and after model number all I can see is a C stmped in the plate. Was there a model C ? It has a Detroit diesel and is two wheel drive. Also looking for transmission parts. Thanks Craig.

I don't know about the model C, but a friend has a late 60's Dynahoe 200. I'm sure he told me it was a Detroit 4-53 with an Allison trans and that it's made of mostly off the shelf components. I guess the company has changed hands a lot over the years, even being owned by Bucyrus-Erie at some point.
A neat old machine but not dainty, I wouldn't drive near your foundation or over your septic field with it. I think the weight well is over 30,000 lbs...

Dynahoe was a dedicated-purpose TLB (tractor-loader-backhoe)and really well-built for that.
The older ones had Continental gas engines.
The Dynahoe brand was acquired by Terex at some point and parts may be available through Terex.
Some research indicates that your engine might be a Detroit 3-53 series.
I would suspect that Dynahoe purchased transmissions from different OEMS like Clark, Funk, Allison, Twin Disc, etc. Certainly parts are available somewhere...

Craig: Oil filter catalogs do list a Model C Dynahoe, apparently a "standard" (no other identification stated) and a second Model C listed as a "ditcher" ; I'm not familiar with Dynahoe, but recall seeing somewthing on Terex that said they "restored" the name or something similar, which I took to mean put back into production, but I have no idea if they still source of parts.Good luck.
