After just fixing the flat front on the left side of our 165, the other side found a nail maybe 2 days later. On goes the ungly trcuk tire again that we use as the spare and dropped off the other side at the tire shop.

Also dropped off the plow tire to have a 7.60-15 implement tire installed instead of the soft car tire that is on it. We were doing good all year too, without any flats on any of our haywagons or anything until this sudden streak of 4 flats within a week... I guess it goes with the teritory...

I have found that flats seem to come in bunches. You should be just about to the other end of your bunch.

Take those tires in and have them filled with foam. They end up being as hard as rocks, but you'll never have to worry about a flat tire again. I was doing a lot of cleanup on my property after logging. Lot's of sticks would end up stuck in my tires. This solved it.

It's hard enough ahving a loader on it, I ain't gonna tear it up more by making the tires rock hard. Not worth it in my book.

Shouldn't reply to this, will probably jinx myself with more flats. I have more than my share, but on a rural mail route with about 1/3 of it being flint rock very understandable. Very reason I spent the money for a rim clamp changer and computer balancer. I usually wait until I have 3 or 4 needing fixed and do them all at once, the implement tires are the only ones I don't really have extras for. The worst tires I fix for myself are the rears on the tractor, have the bead breaker, but still no fun. thank goodness that is VERY rare. Doug

I have always said if I won the lottery I would keep farming just do things a little diffrent, like we all would. Told some of the guys this year in the tobacco patch, if I hit the big one the first thing I am going to do is have new tires put on every thing. Tractors, lawn mower, tobacco wagons, 4-wheeler, hay balers, every thing on the farm.

Just think of all the tires you own, on all your vehicles. Gets you to thinking, why don't I have more flats. My worse experience this season was I ruined a real good rear tire on my mowing tractor. That 150.00 job cost me over 300.00 big ones. Stan

i only had 2 flats this whole chopping season. one on a chopper and one on a chopperbox. but now i found a rim on my big forage kings that has at least 7 crcks in it so we threw the good spare on there for now. gotta find a new rim but i might have one on hand. i'd have to look. then i had to buy new tires for my 4010. the fronts were as bald as racing slicks. $55 a tire there. now gotta get new rears for the 970 case at $200 a tire.oh well. pretty good so far though.
my 2 cents

What kind of tire can you get for a 970 for 200.00. Don't they ware a least an 18.5X34. Never seen one of those for less than $300.00.

Musta been a more common size if they were only $55 each. We were looking at new fronts for our 285 last year, it had bald and almost bald 10.00-16's on it. We priced those out, and they are about $110 each. Hence the HAD part.

We took the good 11L-15's off the dead 1755 out back and put those on instead. 11L's are much cheaper, only about $55 or so. Now if I ever get the 1755 working again I'm just gonna buy a used pair of 11L's to put on and keep the other pair on the 285. Still wanna paint the rims so they don't stand out quite so bad on the 285 though.

If it has T+++s or tires it will give you problems.
