I just brought home a new tractor (to me) last Saturday from Canada. I need a battery for it and don"t know how big it needs to be. It is a 1955 MM GBD, my dads battery charger on start will only give it about a quarter revolution. The tractor will be inside a heated shop so cca don"t mean much. Thanks Jay

This was MM year at Albany pioneer days and I saw an owner that had 2 MM'S with the little Optima batteries, seemed to spin them right over! I researched them a little, and very good, but pricey, and last a long time.

Those Optimas will run a BRASS band! Find out where your local Interstate warehouse is and get some of them from warranty return. Still good and less price. They go for around $40.00 each as to over 130 dollars. I have been very happy with them!

Don't know squat about Minnie Mo's, but my standard answer on battery size is "measure the battery box and buy the biggest one that will fit into it".

Haven't gone wrong that way yet.

I don't think I can lift that big a battery. I don't want a overly heavy battery if I can avoid it. I plan on using the tractor for antique pulling.

I would place this request over on the M M forum.
Some of them own the MM GBD tractors and would know which battery is needed. Hal
