Hey, I am new here and I am trying to do what we did on my model railroad forums. I am trying to start a teenage collectors and restoration forum, where kids my age can talk. I will introduce myself my name is Michael Link, I live in Sandusky,Ohio and I am 15. My hobbys are Model railroading, hunting, fishing, trapping, railfanning (railroad photography), and tractors. I have a 1949 MM UTU, Farmall M (45 and 47), Oliver 66 rowcrop, Oliver 88 rowcrop, and Farmall H. All of which need work but its a start . Mike

The nice thing about being around you young guys is it helps keep me young. I have always learned something new from the young guys that I trained in my old job. Kinda a learning experience for both of us.

Welcome

Glad to see this with you guys. I have 3 sons (10,12,15) that love tractors (farm life). My oldest has a 1931 duddle bug and is working on a 1965 D-17.. I'm learning myself.. Thanks...
I'm not much for the video games. I'd rather see young people work with the mind and hands...Hand on projects....

I guess I just miss the cut-off huh? I'm 20, and I tell ya, most kids wanna sit around and argue about which rock band has better screaming and how drunk they got last weekend instead of arguing about Ford/Ferguson and the differences between an AC WD and a WD-45. Yep, you found a home : )

I'm 44 but act like a teenager sometimes, just ask the wife! Glad to see you guys out there with a little interest in something productive. Keep your hats on straight and pants pulled up and you will gain a lot of respect from us older guys. I have a ten year old stepson who is starting to show a lot of interest in tractors, hope he stays that way. Good luck!!!!

Welcome, glad to have you on board! Good to see younger generation of kids interested in joining older generation of kids playing with tractors. Ask questions, fill us in on your projects and post pictures, we will do all we can to help out and encourage you. Just don't let a few sarcastic remarks turn you away, some people forget that they had to learn how to do things also. OLIVERS RULE!!!!
Chris

Hey there Michael I'm Josh I've been around here for a few years now and I'm 19 years old. Dad got me started on this hobby when I was about 10 when he gave me his stuck '52 Farmall Super M which I finally finished two years ago as my senior project. Since then I've gotten 3 Farmall H's, a 1929 and a 1930 McCormick-Deering 22-36's. I've also completely repainted my uncle's International Cub Lo-Boy earlier this summer too. It's a great hobby and there is a lot of information on this website to help you out!
