I have an 1973 or 1974 international 464. Starts and runs good when outside temperature over 38 degrees. 35 or below it hits perfectly on the first turn but then will not fire until you close the throttle to the idle position. It then hits and runs. Open the throttle and choke and it might die out our rev up depending on how warm. Once it hits and gets choked it runs great. Had a 560 that would hit on the first turn but had to get the choke off right away. Carb was really too rich on it. Could this be the same type of problem??

On my 464 I have to put the throttle at about 1/4 and choke in order for it to start. Having a 464 sure makes me want to never own another International product again, what a piece of junk. It is really just a glorified lawn tractor.

My feelings also on the "74 464. I was really happy the day I bought it.....got it cheap too, was 4 years old, under 1000 hrs, new paint, new tire and new battery..... $4200; probably cheap as it was gas.

Like a boat, I was even happier the day I sold it. It too was a dog in the winter and couldn"t pull it"s head out of..... ..... ... A 2 bottom plow made it grunt and squeal.
