This ship was built from 24 tons of steel from the World Trade Center. It is the replacement for the Old LSDs that I served on.

According to Snopes, it is not a photograph of the USS New York but rather the recently-commissioned USS San Antonio.

USS New York is still being built ?

Beautiful ship though I"d love to have seen the material turned into something with some major muscle. Not to say that 500 Marines aren"t a force to be reconed with but you gotta admit Marine or not 500 of them still can"t match a missle carrying a tactical nuke up Osama"s backside.... But that"s just my opinion...

Well Wayne that's sound just like the Glory Navy as one of our Admirals put it.

Hey Walt, what kind of a ship is that? I'm a landlubber so if it ain't a battleship or carrier I have a hard time telling what it is.
