Oh my. What a day. Temp should hit 70 degrees. Here I sit recovering from foot surgery & can't climb up on a tractor. Guess I can watch the birds coming to my feeder and admire the redbud tree which is starting to bloom. My good neighbor is feeding the cows until I can walk & outdodge the bull.
At least medicare will take care of the doctor bills & I should be able to drive in a few days. Things aren't all bad. Have a good day.

Yep, I always complain more in the summer 'cause in the winter you can always ADD some clothes but in the summer you can only take so many OFF! Have a good one, boys!

Your posting makes me so sad! It"s -5 this morning, in West Central Wisconsin, and the
Redbuds won"t bloom till mid May.

Here's hoping you recover soon. Being immoble is kind of a bummer for someone who's used to being active.I hope you have an automatic tranny in whatever you drive.

I had ankle surgery on the left side once, and all I had to drive was a stick shift, so I used a crutch to run the clutch. Didn't work too bad after I got the hang of it.

Temp this morn. in NW Iowa is -18 with a wind chill of -30 and a predicted high of -4. We are sure gettin tired of it. I kind of have a hunch that when it finally does break we'll have above normal temps.Jim

Sunny here in southwest Minnesota. Little cool( -20 with -38 wind chill) but its not snowing, no mosquitos. Feed lots stay dry (frozen) cattle stay healthy. Gotta watch the automatic waterers, they don't bother much if the wind stays reasonable. We have very little or no snow cover so frost is somewhat a concern over the water lines which are 4-5 feet deep

Geez,I feel better. I was feeling sorry for myself because it's zero here this morning in Michigan. No wind and the sun's shining,so it doesn't feel so bad.

Man o man now I'm on a guilt trip but not so bad that I want to move back to Indiana. Rember hitting an ice rut in the middle of the road and spinning off into the ditch. Took a JD and a Farmall to pull me out.

I work in a sand plant here in IL and we have a few cases of hard water here and there but you can drive just about anywhere. You can't do that in the summer! At the moment its 3 degrees! Gotta love it!

Oh yes I remember snow. Borned & raised in Hoosier land. I remember standing out at the road waiting on the school bus in snow up to my knees. Then coming thru the fog would be a John Deer tractor pulling the school bus. Farmer would be steering the bus and his son would be driving the tractor. Rank has its priviliges. LOL

Another Hoosier here. Located a bit to the East of you Fred, in Hearne just N. of A&M. Yeppers, nice day today, and s"posed to be good for us tomorrow, but may cool off and rain later in the day. I too remember those snow and ice waits for the bus, but don"t miss"em. Uncle Sam called me in the early 70"s. Found out there were warmer places in this world, and Texas was one of them. Been here now nearly 30 years.
