Right now went to doctor today on my foot that has for last 3 days been swelling up bigger and bigger. He found that I have a large piece of metal in bottom for front ball between little toe and next one up.

Sure hurts... anyway tomorrow morning I am scheduled for another foot doctor and hope at that time he goes and cuts it out. For right now with out ex ray one can not see it in side. Right now my foot is about the size of a foot ball and doctor said it is infested I think is correct word. Got big shot today in my a$$ and lots of pills right now taking. Plus we got called early this day about 4 am here at home. My wife's Dad has now passed away. So on Thursday we have to be down in Arkansas again for the funeral and all. :( Going to be a tough time for me health wise and trying to keep wife's spirts up as much as I can. Take care
Oh tried to call you but answering service.

Wife just had an ingrown toenail taken out of her big toe. Had to get rid of swelling and infection first. Soaking in salt water and coating it in pinetar did the trick in a few days. There was more nail inside than outside but she's back on the foot with no problem now.

Think the tar was the biggest help.
Good luck.

Dave

Sorry did not return a call back last night. But after wife used the phone for sometime. I started I guess a reaction to that shot yesterday. Itching all over. Neck , arms, you name it. Even right now it is 5:29 am and I got up an hour ago cause of the dang itching. Sure glad to go see this other doctor in few hours. My foot is and 8 to 9 in pain and have hit 10 a few times. Windy here today! Lots of wind and I see a few flurries coming down at times.
I am hopen that the doc today can fix my foot. That the swelling is not to bad for him to fix it. For no matter what I have to leave out Thursday morning one way or the other.

You may have had a bad reaction to the shot which isn't good because it could kill you but I figure by the time you read this the doctor will have told you about the same thing plus either made your foot better or worse LOL. Also didn't surprise me that you didn't call back figured with all that is going on its hard to get much done other then what you just plain have to right now. Have a safe trip down to AR if I don't here from you before you leave

I won't moan and complain too long considering all you are dealing with right now. My prayers are with you and your family, life has never been easy but the last couple years are just getting tougher and tougher. Lost my mom in January 05, one of my dad's sisters the same week, my dad in Sept 05, several other deaths of friends in the meantime, then on Valentines day this year my mom's farmhouse burned to the ground. Was still a lot of antiques left in it, had set empty since she passed away, insurance company wouldn't cover a house not occupied, so only had liability coverage. DAMN meth heads found the house and according to fire dept "something blew". Propane WAS turned off to house, but when firemen arrived kitchen walls were blew out, cook stove shooting blue flame sky high. What hurts most is losing all the old family journals and tin plate photos, etc, it just takes a lot of time and work to empty out room after room of 125+ years of stuff. Was just getting back to the really old and more sentimental stuff the last time I was back, set a lot of it aside in order not to damage it stuffing it into an already full trailer. BUT, just want to say that I believe it all belongs to God anyhow, even our health. We will never understand WHY on this side of heaven. Just know it is likely many more people have you in their prayers than you are aware. DOUG

You and you're wife's family are in my prayers. Take good care of the foot. If it goes bad you could lose it.

I had an infection in an ingrown nail once and all of a sudden it went up the leg. Darned near lost the leg but the doc got it stopped in time. Take care of it!Jim

Larry, sorry about FIL,our prayers are with you and yours. Take care of that foot. I know how painful that can be and to get rid of my pain they took my foot off just below the knee. Keep it clean after they get the metal out. At least my leg doesn't get hung up on the shifter now. LOL

Prayers to the family, and hope all goes well with your foot! Seems like these things happen in big bunches. To Arlene:Don't let that missing foot and ankle keep ya down! IO've been missing my left foot and ankle since 1944, and it hasn't slowed me down! I do almost everything i did before it went away, except climb mountains, so keep yer chin up, and get a good artificial foot if you can! by: Rusty Jones

Rustyj,What do you mean you don't climb mountains? Spent 2 weeks in the Hells Canyon Wilderness Area elk hunting this last fall. Those hills will weed out the men from the boys.Had lots of people make 1-2 trips and then say to heck with it.One leg isn't going to stop me.I'm still farming and working horses and mules.Do anything you set your mind to I guess.
