well here is my newest project, I had chickens in 3 different buildings,, they are starting to lay again, and I cant find the eggs, so I needed to build a central house,,

the doors in the back open to "steal" the eggs, the nests I made so I can take them out and just dump them to clean them, should make that chore easier,

, I left it on skids just in case I want to move it sometime,,

they should be comfy in these surroundings huh??

The nice part, I had almost all the material here on the place,,

Pretty nice!!! like they say once you get some roosts in there, a little nesting straw,And don't forget a couple of old light bulbs. To entice them to lay.--[Thats what my Dad used to do].--Should work fine.

Looks nice from what I am seeing. However having chickens a long time myself. You need to go out and cut a tree about 2 inches round and what ever the length is across front of next. The chickens will then jump a small height to check out the nest and lay in them. Might need two limbs in front of them. One out from the other. Another susjestion is to drop some feed inside for a bit to get the chickens use to going in and kind of hanging out at times. Gets them real use to the building and nest location. I see right by the door, there is an ADMISSIONS window.... You have to pay to get in this hen house..... :-)

Look close at the first picture. That silo in the background looks like a little b-vent chimney. WOW, those chickens have it good!!!!!

Anyway, looks great. Did a similar one from mostly free material, mine has a copper standing seam roof, got it from a guy left over from his house.
