Well finally got hold of the old man who owns the land there taking dirt off of which is why the trucks are in and out. Well he then called his grandson who has contracted the dump trucks. Well I now have a promise that my road will be fixed after its all done and will be as good or better then when they started. Plus they have been doing a little of it on and off all day just to keep it sort of good

i have a neighbor that has to cross my property right of way to get to his home. the portion of the road that is on my property developed pot holes that he drove through for 3 years. i decided to repair it at my expense but took plenty of time to call him several choice names because he never offered to help or compensate.

He called me today and offered me a load of gravel!!

I guess reverse physcology works. Hell, I don't even know how to spell the word for certain!

Glad to hear you were able to work it out. The last thing you want to do is get the lawyers involved; they don't make money when a problem is solved.

I know there are good and bad no matter what the age but I think you hit the nail on the head when you said "the old man". If it had been some young guy you had to deal with the nightmare you were worried about yesterday would have been alot more likely to have become a reality. I just turned 40 back in Feb so I guess I"m still a spring chicken to some of ya"ll but not to others, still it has always seemed to me that the older generation, in general, has alot more respect for others and their property, etc than even those of my generation.

Yep the guy who owns the place is 83, birthday is Jan. 11th. Funny how hes born the same month as I am and the 2 of use have always been able to talk and seem to enjoy talking. We talked for a good 45 plus minutes today and it wasn't long after that thing started to change as far as the road and the way the truck drivers did thing. Guess he told his grand son to make it right or who know what else
