It's getting rediculous, in Columbus Oh., some moron cut down an electric pole with transformers on it, of course the wires were live. It fell onto a vacant warehouse starting a fire. luckily the fire was contained quickly. And some people want to legalize drugs... old tractors and implements are gonna be hot items for theft. Better keep 'em away fron the road and easy access.

We have 2 guys that come here all the time asking for our "junk", we have told them NO about 6 different times, but they still keep asking. I'm worried that they might steal stuff if we were not home.

Tell them no in a way that lets them understand it. You are setting yourself for getting ripped off. Stand on your hind-feet and tell them to get off your land and stay the h*ll off. Tom

In one of my former jobs, I worked for two investigators in a large oil co. Steve had to do an investigation on an oil field death. Seems some unthinking guy decided to steal the copper power cable from an oil field generator to the well. Chopped into it with an ax. He died on the spot.

Hi John,

You think thats something, here in Phoenix they were stealing wire out of the 30ft pole lites that line the free-ways. Not just one or two, but miles of them. You sure would have thunk a copper would have seen them or the cameras would have picked them up on video, but nada. Got away free and clear.

Around here it isn't druggies stealing metal for scrap. Think about it: How many junkies have big trucks with rollback decks? One guy near here was running a collision shop, a chop shop, a meth lab, a marawauna grow operation, plus dealing crack. A real entreprenuer!! Not some homeless dude. Guy was able to post 1.5 million in bail, cash. No bondsman would touch him. Was a "pillar of the community" lol!

Just before dark, I finished loading an old IH 2ME corn picker on my flat bed wagon. Going to take it to the salvage yard, only 4 miles away. I left it in front of my shop, about 50 yards from the gravel road. Hope it's still there in the morning.
