Anyone go to the auction at Nolans Equip in Lapeer MI.? I wanted to go, but with my broken ankle I can't stand for to long, or drive for that matter. There was a restoreable Ford 300 Vineyard I wanted, and some other misc. items. Just curious as to what things went for.
later,
BD

Tosch's is still there, but pretty cleared out. I was out there a few months ago and they didn't have much left. I think they had a couple of auctions a few years back and got rid of most of their stock.

I have a friend that went the first day and he said everything was selling real high. They were good people to deal with, I bought White parts there until they became a small tractor Deere dealer. I bought my Massey 1105 there also.

Did that dealer close? Was that a used tractor place only or was that a Deere dealer also? I have driven by it 6-8 times in the last few years.

They were a White dealer when they were out on Bronson Lake Rd. and switched to Deere when they built the new building on M24. They also sold used tractors and construction equipment.

Brian,
Did Mike & Joe sell out? I did a fair amount of business with them twenty five or so years ago. Several years when they were out on Bronson Lake Rd. before they moved out to M24.

Greg,

From what I understand Mike and Joe are disolving the partnership. The dealership has been sold to Tri-County Equip. I thing Joe wanted to retire to the farm, and Mike may keep running the business, not sure though. I bought my 3910 from Mike last fall, hate to see it dissolved into the Tri-County conglomerate.

They sure have acquired alot of neat stuff. I aleays enjoyed just going there and wandering around the yard looking for the "odd ball stuff"

What was the name of the dealer that used to be in Capac? I got stuck out in their lot looking at tractors years back.

Are you referrimg to the Deere dealer in capac???That would have been Greenias , and they have mooved to M-53 between Imlay & Dryden, Othewise it's Tosh's and he is still there , just smaller. Mr Tosh, was walking around the auction at nolans along with Willie, From Rosy Bros,Dick Coulter and several of the other local dealers , and a Scrap man from Ovid that supossedly bought 200,000.00 in scrap on Friday at the constuction part of the auction. I noticed that early saturday , the prices started high, and started waining as the day went on.I picked up one piece at 7:30 PM and they still had 2+ rows to sell , and when I got there this morning , the guy that loaded me said they finished at dark or just before (8:45 -9:00 here), and he loaded the last truck at 11 pm. I did see a few good deals , a couple of 2-70 whites for under 3000, some older massey 50 loader tractors 25-2800. I bought a David Brown loader for my Case for 150 bucks and a parts hay rake for 85. a-lot of the parts or "project" tractors went for under a 1000 bucks, not bad concidering I have been hearing Iron scrap at 300 a ton or more. The 2 combines he had , a 715 IH , and a 542?? Oliver with both heads went for under 1500 each, and I don't belive they got scrapped. Well it's getting late gotta go , Shawn

Two great guy's for sure. They would let me use the dyno to tune the tractors up when we pulled them out of the field to take them to the pull's in Imlay City, Armada, etc. I wish them well. Sorry to here about Tri County taking the dealership. Question, are Bader Brothers still in the thumb?
