Looking at either a new Kubota or a John Deere. In the 40 horse category with a loader. Suggestions, recommendations?

we have both John Deere and Kubota deales close and i chose the Kubota because they have stronger hydraulics....At least around here the price is about the same for both as well as the resale so that was no factor.I use the bucket and rear lift alot so the lift capacity was the selling point but both are good reliable proven tractors.Either way you cant go wrong

Don't forget about New Holland. The JD website has a comparrison on it, but blanks out the area where they don't lead the classification. I would compare on newholland.com/na and look at a similar model.

Deere because the Kubota has yet to catch up with economy, fuel, pricing, capability :~), resale value, dealer network etc.
What tasks do you have in mind, the model of tractor you will want to purchaee and the price will vary.
For a small diesel tractor that can take a mower deck, loader, backhoe, 4WD and hydrostatic. The 24HP Deere 2305 can't be beat. Has a real pto, drawbar and three point hitch too.
The 4105 packs excellent value too in a 40HP chassis.

Kubota would be the one, john deere if you are the type thats wants to impress your neighbour, beside Kubota has already proven them selves for economy, fuel, pricing, capability :~)
