I hav a Ferguson 35, in good condition. The only problem I have had is a backup of pressure in the hydraulic system. The plug in the top of the hydraulic pump will shoot 10 ft. in the air if loosened. I'm told that there is a stainless screen filter in the pump housing that is probably stopped up. Don't have a manual, and am in the dark re/ the location of the filter, and removal and cleaning procedures. I'd appreciate help from anyone in solving this problem. The hydraulics still work good, and seem to be strong. I just don't want to damage the pump with this backup of pressure.

Thanks, gamefarm

Working on hydraulic systems without the manual is difficult. I bought the I&T manual for my TO-35 from YT.. it was a very big help.

been looking in my book and cant find a screen you referred to. what plug are you in reference to?if it is the plug on the left front of the lift cover then this is a pressure plug where you can check the pressure the pump is putting out. to the rear of this plug there should be a vent which should relieve any buildup of pressure in the case of the tractor. make sure the vent is open
