Dodge trucks gone to the birds?

I've got some wacked out birds insisting on making nests on my Dodge diesel truck. Been hapenning all week, sometimes two or three nests per day. I pull them off, and a few hours later - another is started.

Only birds I see are a pair of Kingfishers that keep flying around me and squawking, and that makes no sense at all. Kingfishers nest in the ground; usuall the sides of steep banks in tunnels. The truck is parked on the edge of a steep bank, so maybe they are not really the ones building these things? Who ever is doing it, you'd think they'd have given up by now.

James and I always enjoy the pics. No idea on what kind of bird.

The child is just precious. I liked dandelions when I was little and still do.

Never seen that before, like some one else said, might try parking the truck some where else a while and maybe leave some old tires there and see it the bird likes them. Might be fun to see what kinda critter you have that loves Dodges so much.

Thanks for the pics, little kid is cute, I don't care what any one else thinks.

That's what I'm doing too Roy. Ever since he attacked James and Nancy a few weeks back I simply will not communicate with him here, and I'm thankful I won't have to in the afterlife. He has clearly told me in the past we won't be in the same place, and boy am I thankful. I do know, however, he will be surprised at which one of us ends up where!

jdemaris,

Thanks for posting those photos. I enjoyed looking at them very much, especially the one with the sweet child! You can almost see the mind working as to "now what should I do next?" Cute!
I also wanted to tell you that I have never, truly never, heard a comment as mean or as rude as the one posted near the bottom of this post by a certain individual known as joe. I am appalled by almost every word that he puts on this forum, but this is the first time I was physically sick to my stomach about the nasty words he has said stemming from your pictures. I hope you know that you and your pictures are very much appreciated by me, and those comments by joe regarding your child and parenting styles are the lowest of the crap I've ever heard spoken.
Thanks for making my day brighter, jdemaris!!

At least the birds do have a liking for a quality truck.... Has that one been re-painted? My '92 that was that color, has almost no paint left on it.. I love Dodge trucks, but they just never could get the paint to stick..

That's the original paint, but I know exactly what you mean. We had a 93 Plymouth Sundance and the paint peeled off of it like birch bark.

I got this truck a few years ago from northern Maine. Maybe the Canadian air and lack of sunshine helped. Plus, they don't salt the roads there, just sand them.

Must have been Canada, in Maine all of our cars/trucks start rusting away as soon as the first snow flake falls.

Now sunshine...weather around here you just never know.

Birds: I've got a mourning dove nesting in one of my equipment sheds, never seen one nest inside before. I think critters are getting more creative all the time.

I've had robins do that, right in the fenderwell, and it's funny, I took the nest out, I needed the truck, put another truck there in it's place, put the nest in about the same location, never made a difference to her at all.

Only solution i can think of, is to park the truck some place else, and then stand a couple of old tires in its place! Prop them up so they don't fall over, and when the birds have their new offspring, then get rid of the tires, or plant them out in a pasture. Might be good to erect a little roof over the tires, as it looks like the wheels under the fenders look nice and dry for the nests! It wouldn't be very nice to kill them, or destroy their nests--after all--you don't want to destroy their natural instinct for having babies! Dave, Please do not be embarrased for me, you should be emparrased for your self for not being a follower and believer, those are the folks that don't get it,

Jesus takes care of HIS children, and the others are left to Satan, who are called Satan's children according to the Bible.

the Bible is a very complex book for those who do not understand what they read, that understanding comes ONLY from the HOLY SPIRIT, and no one else, I'm just a preacher like I'm told to be...

They have statues and carvings of them who lived back then, and only the male idiots had long hair... how dumb can you get ????? ?????

Also I did not learn anywhere that when we are called to preach (as I have been also) that we are also made judges of men. It is fishers of men. You sir are currently using rotten bait.

The verse you quote does indeed say, "Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man has long hair, it is a shame unto him?" However, I've searched far and wide in my Bible and can find no corresponding judgement regarding long hair on a YOUNG BOY to be shameful.

And since a boy is definitely not a man, I find no grounds for condemnation.

Thank you Sir,
I read that and I seem to take it in a different context in that men TEND to be ashamed, not SHOULD be ashamed to have their head covered. As far as teaching this, as a parent I could not force my son to get a haircut and keep peace in the family. However once he was older he began to see the value of have neatly cut and kempt hair. Thus as he became enlightened, he tended to become ashamed of his appearance and changed it. He was taught this but he had to have his own epiphany.

(( TEND )) is not in that passage === it is clear ===> Long Hair is a shame unto him...

Same thing happens to mine when we get busy in the spring planting and I don't get a chance to get to town to get it cut.

We all have choices, and will follow what we want, we are to teach our children the right way, and if we fail that, then that would be the consequences we have to face in due time.

Difficulties are meant to rouse, not discourage, the human spirit is to grow strong by conflict. Beware of the man who won't be bothered with details.

Then how ? why ?is Jesus always depicted with Long hair ?

I believe it was the way men folk were at the time.

The ones that translated the scroll can't all be wrong. !! or do you want to change that too, to your beliefs.

But YOU Sir and using that word very loosely believe you are Gods right hand man.

You can preach a good sermon , but you have to follow the word , and in this particular topic you crossed the line big time.

You are always judgmental and knocking fellow man.

I believe that someone that has to TRY to hide in various names. is not of our kind so "Marry A Tractor" Get Lost in your various identities.

There is only one God to serve all. but you have lost all respect from all on this forum.

Who wants to vote on that one ??

The Biggest problem is, you don't know what the bible is teaching, and your making a judgment on what the Bible is saying without studying, and when you hear or see it written, you call it knocking you down, all that is, is guilt...

YOU SAY,,, Jesus is Pictured with Long Hair, that is TOTAL SIN for man to make an image of HIM, all you have to do is read and follow what the Bible is telling you.. ( but that you will not do, because you follow man )

EX. 20: 4 KJV (( Thou shalt NOT MAKE unto thee any graven image or any likeness of ANY THING that is in Heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth,,))

NOW does that cover all of it, or do you need to go to some other planet ????? ????? ??? The GIFT OF GOD is not Things, but Opportunities. and man will knock himself by following man.

Who cares what my name is, I can use anything I want to use, that's not important, my name is really Don, but I use other names because I like to, what's the difference what I use, as long as I preach the TRUTH... just call me PREACHER...

Exodus 20:4 says, "Thou shalt not make unot thee any graven image or any likeness of any thing that is in Heaven above, or that is in the Earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth..."

Do you own a camera? Have you ever taken a picture? Ever had your picture taken? If you believe the Word, and you have done this, apparently you have sinned, and perhaps have allowed--or encouraged--others to sin as well. And I suppose I'm guilty, too.

But does the New Testament not say also that preachers and teachers will be held to a higher standard, and judged accordingly [James 3:1] ?

Just trying to understand and learn.

Ernie,,, if you can't handle the Truth,,, don't look .... very simple .....

the problem is,,, parents have allowed long hair on their male kids,, or have long hair themselves, and think it's cute, and that's their choice, I just relay the Truth, and they wonder why so many kids turn gay... some thing to ponder....

I have been seeing more and more turning up gay and that is a disgrace to say the least.... but parents go right along with that life style... I do feel sorry for them....

Hate to bust your bubble on the long hair= gay man thing but,, Lots of gay men out there ( I have seen them on TV marching in the gay rights parades ) that have short hair.

Also grew up with a lot of folks that had long hair when they were kids who are NOT gay. Sooo where's your logic that if a child has long hair he is gonna be gay? That's pretty much what you said.

Just curious, I have also read several of your postings, If you are actually as religious as you say and are a preacher then why are you constantly condemning and insulting people? Didn't think that was the proper conduct of a man of the Lord. Not in any churches I have ever been to anyway.

One more thing I forgot to mention in above post.

The Bible tells us to beware of False prophecy
from the Anti Christ.

I believe you fall into this category Because You Judge and condemn your fellow man, you hide or try to like a serpent when cornered in other identities.

We are in full sight to be forgiven for our Sins and all we have to do is believe Gods son has already paid the price.

And that my friend is the only Sin that will never be forgiven, If you don't.

Old Roy,,,, your DEAD Wrong again, I Judge or condemn no one, I simply Preach the True Word, and you can't accept it cause your DEAD,

I quote the Bible, and you fail to accept,,, that's being DEAD...

What you say is (( believe Jesus paid the price )) but what you fail in is (( FOLLOWING HIM AND REPENT ))

you will never understand that until you learn what the Bible is telling you, those Words are the Words of God, the TRUTH.... I feel sorry for you Old Roy...

MN JOE - do you really not have anything better to do than insult every possible person you can let alone their kids? Then try to come across as being holier than thou? You need to find a hobby or something.

Thanks Bryan ----- your right, NO ONE Knows what Jesus looked like but they will dream up something and that's just SIN,,,,

I simply preach what the Bible says, and man turns to guilt, that's their problem,, but the middle man always gets the grief...

Or more probably, making a nest OUT of his hair! :>)

Sure wouldn't think it was kingfishers- but you'd think the real culprits would be around making a fuss as well- so maybe it is them?
