Just curious about the expected results on carb operation (sorry for the title...couldn't resist the old Amoco slogan) from using a "fuel system cleaner" that one would pour into the gas tank?
Working again on my 460U-gas, and something isn't quite right. To be honest I haven't done anything other than split the carb, wash out all the junk & water, make sure the float needle was free to move. That made a huge difference right there.
The tractor runs decent and I can drive it all over and use the loader, but seems to lack the grunt that I think it should have...just starting off in various gears seems to be more of an effort than I think it should be and I wonder if it would even pull a single bottom plow.
One of my apparent problems is that the governor appears slow to "kick in" which needs other work on the mechanism and linkage, but I was considering the fuel system cleaner in building a "comprehensive plan". Most of my experience is on automotive fuel injection systems which don't have as many adjustments built in.
