Les, Given the facts as you have presented them here, my response would be different. You should be aware my response was to your original post which asked a question "re: What should I do now?" No need to be resentful, as I responded to the question you asked: "I offered $200 for a W 450 diesel with a broken rear end housing and the guy accepted. Now I've got to decide if I really want it enough to pay somebody to haul it home for me." Doesn't that sound, even to you, like you were considering weaseling out of a deal? If I read it wrong, I'm sorry. What can I reasonably do to make up for not reading between the lines? Of several thousand posts to the internet, every one has included my full name and email address.
