I think Josh has lost his way and ended up on the wrong forum. He better keep that John Deere B hid in the grass in this forum. Boy, IHC made some quality tractors for a number of decades. One of the other posts made a real good point on what the tractor is being used for, makes a big difference. That was well said. For the time frame, and use during that time frame, and the tractor sells during its duration, I would say the letter series takes the cake. However, because of tractor evolution, and todays standards, the letter series tractors has become less desireable. If they would of had live clutch, 3-point hitch, live hydraulics, 12 volt electrical system, the letter series tractors would probably still be the best today hands down. The newer more equiped tractors are better simply because of the extra size, power, and being more equiped. I believe that is why you see alot of 06 and 56 series posted as being the best here. The time frame the tractor was made and used in, along with the job the tractor was used for, both need to be considered when determining an all time best. I could say that a 1905 steam engine was the all time best. And maybe it was when it was built, but you and I both know that it isn't. You have got to factor in all considerations. And as many tractors that have been made, I don't think that a particular one can be ruled as being the all time best.

In our particular hobby, we enjoy the nostalgic return to the days of our youth as we recreate many of the scenes that took place on the family farm that served as the stage for the first few acts of the play that is our live
