Does this tractor have a distributor or a magneto? I think you should rotate the engine until NO1 piston is at TDC on the compression stroke. The notch on the pulley should aliign with the pointer on the crankcase front cover. Your rotor should be at No1 position. If it is check your plug wire to the sparkplug. The rotor rotates clockwise so the next plug wire is to No3, No4 and No2. If it is a distributor set point gap to .020". A magneto setting is .013". Make sure none of wires on your points are touching and are grounding out. If you have a point file or some 320 emery cloth rub those new points. Hal
