Wayne: Just kind of curious in your responce, would that extra size on fuel tank eliminate the possibility of belt pulley attachment. The reason I ask this is 656 diesels had second battery just about the same location on chassis. I'm hearing rumblings that the battery was moved back by fender on 666 and 686. As horse power started its climb in the mid 50s, one of Farmalls shortcomings was size of fuel tank. I found the 560, 656 and 1066 diesels lacking fuel tank. 300 was terrible so I can well imagine what the larger gassers were like. 3 to 4 hours between fill ups was kind a pain in the butt.
