Tractor foibles

I have a 51 W-6 Mc Cormick,and my leg Is all the way out when i shift it,kind of tiring, was wondering If I should get a 450,and It would be more comfy,sitting higher,and better able to clutch it,? I dont wanna drill holes in the seat post on the 6,so Im In a dilemma? please help, Kirk C,
