I've had good luck putting an inline fuel filter on and just running the tractor. Watch the sediment bowl and clean it regularly. You may have to pull the sediment bowl off the tank a couple of times to clean out the worst, but it will clean out. the vibration and sloshing from running will clean them out. And it's not bad duty to run the tractor.
