I have a SA with no water pump, and a wood L59 60" 3 spindle finish mower. Lift the deck a bit to avoid the rocks and I have sent it through the rough to knock down 3' & 4' grass and crap. I also finish mow 4 acres with it once every week or so, and no problems. I have used a Cub with the 42" 1 spindle hog blade to cut down 3' & 4' stuff before, but you have to work at it as hard as the tractor does. Take half width swipes and steer in an out of the cut some. The SA just cuts it..........
