Some steel suppliers or welding/manufacturing shops carry what is called PTO square. If they have it they will carry both the male and the female ends. If you are a competent welder, you can get a longer female tube, or you can lengthen both depending on your situation. The tubes and square shafts are tight fits into the yolks on the ends. Just grind off the existing weld, get the old piece out and put the new longer one in. The new one should fit snug, then just weld it back up being careful to get the amount of welding close to the same on all sides to maintain balance. You will also need to get a longer shield for the PTO.
