glad you got it before it started the barns on fire. oats and wheat always made me nervous when it was ripe, them fields could go up like gasoline. even the soybean and corn stalks if they are dry enough. we always worked up the headlands right away after combining, either moldboard plow or disk at least 3-4 passes wide to keep the fire hazard down, especially with cig butts getting tossed out the window by cars. maybe you could plow up a little around the barn so if it happens again, it dont get close to the barn.
