Hugh: That loonie seems to be disliked south of the border. Tried to pawn one off at the toll booth on the Ohio Turnpike. He would have nothing to do with it. He took Canadian nickels, dimes and quarters, but not the loonie. I got caught, bank was busy Fri afternoon, decided I'd grab some USD at the border currency exchange Sat. am, it was closed. Finnaly found a bank machine in Indiana that took my Canadian bank card and gave me USD. In the hundreds of times I've gone stateside, I'd never been so unprepared.
On the subject "Eh", that one is quite geographic, mostly Toronto, of course those guys have enough numbers they taint the pack. I never hear that down here in the south west, never used to hear it in centeral Nova Scotia. I know Cape Bretoners are quite big on Eh. But then I get a kick out of that lady at US Customs using "STAP" for the word I always spelled "STOP".
