I have just started removing the rear oil seal on a Farmall C tractor. In removing it I think that I am seeing the seal, felt washer, and more concerning a bearing that appears to be compressed along with a portion of seal against the tractor's housing. The I&T service shop book that I have page 76 Fig IH-485 does not show a bearing until farther into the axle. Can anyone out there tell me if I am seeing a bearing? Or what I am seeing. When I first took a measurement there appeared to be 0.775 inches of distance along in the housing for the seal (which is 0.375 inches) before the bearing, however I am seeing something much smaller 0.100 or so please help Help. Anyone. Thanks Dave
