My H will only run for about 30 seconds and then it shuts off like it"s out of fuel. I have cleaned out the gas tank and RedKoted it so I know there is no rust now (used to have lots of rust, however). I cleaned the carb and installed a new kit a couple years ago (before the rust problem, though). My question is: does this sound like there is some dirt or rust in the carb? I"m guessing the tractor is burning the amount of gas that"s in the bowl and then can"t get any more. Does that sound right?
One more clue: if I don"t turn off the petcock on the gas tank, the carb will leak gas at about a drop every three seconds or so. Does this sound like the same problem? I don"t know enough about how these carbs work, I guess.
