At a local show this weekend,I had a conversation with a gentleman about his Super M.Its suppose to be a 53,but when I looked at the casting codes it had a K,which would be 41.It did have band brakes which I know the early Supers may have had them but every casting code I found said K,mostly in Decenber, around the 17th.The serial no plate did say its a 53 Super M.When I checked the serial no. on the engine all it had was 3*****,that all I can remember. There was no prefix or suffix on it.Do you guys think someboby may have changed the torque tube and tried to get away with it?I hope not because this guy seemed to be a pretty nice guy and I would hate to see him get jipped like that.Oh and he will question the guy he bought it from about this.
