trouble with them is also every time a root gets close to the surface the dang thing sprouts.i dont even know if spraying would kill one,dont think you could get enough spray on little sprout to kill the root system.only way ive really seen is to just keep them mown,and get a ripper of some type to kill the root.they can grow on some of the worst ground though,and believe it or not they are a legume that builds up the soil.someone told me one time that you could fertilize around them with nitrogen real heavy and kill them,just like alfalfa.but i havent tried it.
