I went to an estate sale this morning. It was a small farm close to me. They had a MF 135 diesel without power steering and was in clean condition. Sold for 6K. Before the sale started, I went over and took a quick look at all the items I was interested in, hurried back home and decided on max price I would bid. I don't go beyond that amount!
They had several Stihl chainsaws, two Stihl blowers, Stihl pole saw, two gas generators. All these items were several years old.
I looked all items up on ebay under "sold items" and averaged the price of each item.
Bottom line----ALL items went for nearly TWICE my max, and the pole saw sold for $20.00 more then a new one!!
There were at least eight bidders for every item. Some started for more then my max.
I don't think the buyers at this auction were hurting for money.
