Say Hound, Have you ever tested Royal Purple oils in your lab? I worked for a premier (German) air compressor manufacturer who had their oil blended by Royal Purple. These are rotary screw compressors rated for 24/7 operation; 3-500hp electric units. These oils are gaining acceptance quite rapidly with RP expanding their product line greatly. I run RP in my Ford pickup 12-15,000 miles between oil changes while using K&N oil filters at 7-8,000 mile intervals. A K&N air filter is also used. This unit has 130,ooo miles on it and the only part replaced was a frayed serpentine belt; since new. Royal Purple fluids are in my manual trans, rear differential and power steering as well. When this truck has not had a 500# air compressor in the bed, it has been pulling a single axle trailer with a 2000# demo compressor for my sales demonstrations. Total logged miles with trailer is over 65,000 miles. Tim
