If it's a fairly new loader they have hard chrome plated cylinders that rarely rust if they are exposed. Some Older (60's) loaders had cylinders that would rust really bad if exposed. If it's going to sit for an extended length of time, I'd retract the cylinders and try to cover the bucket so it doesn't collect water or take it off and turn it upside down. Look on Cats, they never seem to get rust on the cylinders. A lot of people put the bucket flat on the ground and if your cylinders creep over time it will end up flat anyway. Dave
