On 11 June I toured the Vietnam War Museum in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). They had a large collection of captured U.S. military war equipment on display including airplanes, tanks, howitzers, helicopters, etc. They also had a D-7 Dozer. This dozer looked to be in pretty nice condition except that the dozer arm on the right side was broken into three pieces. The D-7 looked like a real handy piece of equipment. Have any of you operated a D-7? Do you know what company manufactured the D-7?

This was a D-7E made by caterpillar for the militay. It weighted 48,550 lbs, had a four cylinder engine, hydraulic blades. The machine was equiped with extra hydraulic to pull a pan. It has a 50 ton hyster rear mounted winch. Had a power shift transmission. It was a little underpowered, but other than that it was a nice machine. This was what I ran in Viet Nam from '65-'67. I also ran these in civilian life. I was in the 39th combat eng.

proud to see that some people understand the difference between being beaten or abandonmen. If you other people that were not there I recommend that you cuoose your words carefully especially to people in the 50+ year age range because you can step on a toe and upset someone.

I would rather ride a D-7 Cat. than spend an evening with the bitch, "honoi jane." Notice no capital letter on honoi and jane. She does'nt deserve to reconized by the proper English language and punctuation so the proper nouns will remain in lower case to which she belongs.
