So, is there a trick to adusting the valves on my OC-3. Doing it while it's running seems to be such a pain--oil spitting out on everything, wrenches not staying stil....

Any advice out there?

Crank each cyl . to TDC firing stroke and set the two valves for that cyl. Take out the plugs and crank over slowly. Use a screwdriver or such to follow piston travel up and down to determine TDC. If the clearances for that cyl. are way tight , you are probably on the wrong stroke. Turn it over again and recheck for some clearance.

Huh,

So, you CAN set the valves with the engine off (like all otherengines). I thought, since the manula specified doing it while running, that there was some need to do it that way!

Guess not. Thanks for the info.
