I lloked at a cletrac model E today. wide stance, narrow tracks.Hercules engine, wrong cletrac radiator included, but currently running on a Pinto radiator. Hand crank start, mag ignition.Very little paint, seat wrong. No blade or hydraulics. The tractor seems like it is all there except the radiator, and has the knee action springs. Rollers look good, but the track grousers and pads are pretty worn. The guy wants $600. AM I nuts to consider it?
Just looking for a toy.
He also mentioned some people installing a wide wooden track for snow use.. Anyone seen anything like that? I'd like to try and make it a snow machine for fun..

$600 would be a fair price. I would have anything you would need to restore it back to a beautiful cletrac. The orriginal motor would be a OOC hercules but check the manifold to make sure it is not rusted thru. Good Luck Spark I have a EN,EHG, unstyled E,and some in the junk yard.

It sounds like a 68 model, if you are not interested in it , would you let me know where it is? I`m looking for another crawler to restore, I`m almost finished with an HG-42.
