am in the process of fixing up a 1950 deere mc. most of the original parts are there but i am missing (and looking for) what i would describe as the the front "bash plate".it sits directly in front of the the grill, made of very thick metal, rectangular and has a bunch of holes in it. so please i need help...what is this piece called and any ideas on where to find one. thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Tom - What you are looking for is called a brush guard. The original MC ones are a little hard to come by - at least where I live, but the 40C style will fit with a little work, and if you don't plan on showing it or putting it in parades -(LOL), that would be the easiest way to go, and gives better protection. If you can't locate one, let me know and I'll try to give you a hand. If you look down a few items to "MC paint", there is a photo of mine with the 40 guard on, hope this helps, Ron.

Tom, just to clarify, are you looking only for an original or would a 40C be ok ? Let me know, and I'll get on it, later, Ron
