I was wondering if anyone has any info. on a 1965 dozer (3010-3020). I was thinking of buying one. it has low hrs.and was owned by a campground. was this a good model, and what would it be valued at.

They made a 2010 dozer with a 4 cylinder dozer. The model plate maybe on the right side of the engine. also check at the operator seat platform at the front the left side. the plate on the side of the engine may just give you the size of the engine such as 4202. this means 4 cylinder and 202 cu. in. displacement

If this dozer is a 1965 (JD.2010), was that a good model?, what would it be worth (low hrs.on rebuilt engine)?, also one steering clutch is bound up, are the cluches wet or dry?, could it be bound from sitting outside for 5yrs?

The steering clutches are dry. the first wet steering clutch for John deere was the 350-C and 450-C. Sitting for that number of years could cause the steering clutch to be bound up. I don't really know what is a good value for the machine.

Hmmmm-- I've never heard of such a thing-- I sure would like to see it! Sounds like a real rare bird. They made a 1010 and a 2010, but I've never heard of a crawler version of the 3010 (!?)

JD8, I was informed that 3010-3020 was not a dozer model. I'm going to see it Sunday. where on the dozer could I find numbers to cross the model. it's a 1965 4cyl. diesl. with a 7" blade. Could it be an older 350.
