Looking for information on a 47 IH T9 gas engine
crawler. Would this engine bolt into in my 49 td9?

Yes it will directly bolt up to the crawler.

Thanks for the respnse. Checked ibdozing, but
have not found any info on a T9. Depending on
it's rarity I might restore that one insted of my td9.

The TD9 and the T9 are the same machines but for the engine. I do not have specific production numbers but I think there were more diesel made. One good thing was though the gas version did not seem near as prone to cracking the heads as did the diesel model.

There are some common engine parts between the two but over all to opperate and work on the trany, finals UC ect that is all the same. If you look in TC24E t9/td9 parts manual the first part is devoted to the gas engine the rest is to the diesel, chassis and the UC and accessory parts.

Both are good restoration machines. Might be fun to have a gas machine.
