I need to couple a chevy 292 to an allison that has a cast converter housing with about a 12-12.5 ring with external teeth. ANY idea on a factory application that might use a FIBER coupling? My allison expert says not to use a steel drive ring on the engine..... I'm open to ideas, but would rather buy a setup than fabricate it. HELP

They were used in some of the New Idea Uni-System

I'm not familiar with what you're hooking up, however, in answer to your question about the Chevy 292 being used in any equipment----I think I've heard my uncle say that the 6 cylinder engine in his Series E or F Gleaner combine was a 292 chevy.
