I would like to buy a 3-point hitch for a 420C. I think that one from a 40 and 430 will fit but am not sure. I am willing to buy a parts tractor to get the hitch. I have the rock shaft but need the lower arms and top link. Jim 209 952 0019

The 420's used a casting which set on top of the rear end which had the top link and hydraulics attached. Hard to find. Is this what you're calling a rock shaft?

Jim:did you find any rockshaft housing or other 3-point parts? I have a casting . it is a shell only---no shaft or lift arms. also have a running 420C with a heavy duty 3-pt/ arms/shaft/etc all on
the tractor. needs cylinder mounted and hoses to
connect. since you mentioned willingness to buy a "parts tractor" we may have something in common
PS Does your 209 area code indicate Fresno? 805 not that far

The 420c, 430c and 440c all use the same rockshaft and 3-pt assembly. A late 40c will be the same as the 420c, so you're OK there. What I'm not sure about is an early 40c. There were several changes made to the 40c after the first year of production. I'm unsure about the change history on the 3-pt parts..... ..
