Looking for a little info on this type of dozer. Weight,years produced ect. Had an HD5 is the HD10 similar but larger? Thanks Bob

Bob,
The HD7,10,14 are a generation earlier than the HD5. The HD5,9,15 used a modular design that allowed removing the engine, transmission, steering clutches without taking most of the machine apart. You can replace the main clutch in these machines without removing the engine. They also have double reduction final drives. The later series were built up to the mid 50s when they were re-engined with AC/Buda engines. Parts for the later series should be easier to get. Good Luck either way.

HD-10 Nebraska test # 361; 98.47 belt hp, 82.19 db hp, 19,002 lbs pull @ 1.60 mph. Corrected hp to standard conditions 101.62 belt hp, 86.63 db hp. Engine is four cylinder GM 4 1/4" x 5" 284 cu in 1600 rated rpm. Shipping weight 21,400 62"tread, 22,000 74"tread. Built 1940-1950. Speeds mph 1-1.52, 2-2.06, 3-2.68, 4-3.54, 5-4.62, 6-6.03, R1-1.86, R2-4.17.

it was made from '40 to '50 and is 84 hp. It was 22,000 lbs. Big 516 ci motor.
