I have a friend with an International Harvester dozer. The emblems indicate that it is a "500 Series C". It has a four cylinder gasoline engine. Can anyone give me any more information on it like what the CI displacement/horsepower rating of the engine. Approximate year of manufacture . . .etc. Anything that you could offer would be appreciated, and I'll thank you in advance.

Well, my book shows that the 500 had a gas or diesel motor while the 500 C only had a 4 cyl. diesel. The 500 was made from 65-70 and was 146 ci for the gas and the diesel in the 500 and 500 C was 155 ci. The C series was made from 69-74. They weighed about 10,000 lbs. and were powershift.

Jim, ----- ----- 2 / Feb. / 2002 There is also a International 500E crawler that was made in 1974 to 1975.

The 155D engine is a 3 Cylinders engine made in Germany.
